Max served as a pastor in Florida and Hawaii for 26 years prior to becoming president and CEO of The Mission Society in 2014. He has led small and large local churches, planted satellite campuses, and helped to launch more than 100 church plants during that time. Max has been personally engaged in cross-cultural mission work for 20 years, having served and taught in more than two dozen countries around the world. He has been a public advocate for missions in the local church, speaking in more than 100 churches around the US.
Max brings his skills in effective biblical communication, team building, leadership training, institutional financial management and growth, and a missional mindset to lead The Mission Society in its third decade of ministry.
View Full BiographyFrank serves as the vice president for mission training and development. The Mission Society views people as our greatest resource. Frank’s ministry invests in our people through enabling them to be prepared to fulfill their response to the Great Commission. When asked to describe his ministry, Frank often responds, “I help ordinary people do extraordinary things in unusual places.” He began work with The Mission Society in 1986, serving with his wife, Vicki, as a missionary to Ghana until 1994. Upon returning to the United States, Frank joined the home office staff of The Mission Society where he established and directed the training department until the late 1990s.
View Full BiographyAs vice president for mission advancement, Clark and his team coordinate the energies of God’s people to fund support ministries for missionaries, field projects, training for international leaders, and local church outreach. The advancement department provides opportunities for partners to participate in Jesus’ mission through their gifts and prayers for the ministries of The Mission Society. Clark oversees the communications, events, and committees that inspire, minister to, and show appreciation to those who give of the resources that God has provided to them toward the advancement of God’s kingdom.
View Full BiographyIvar became vice president for mission administration in December 2004. In 2002, Ivar and his wife Andy served in Peru with The Mission Society. They worked with the Peruvian Methodist Church in introducing and placing into service a mobile medical clinic. Ivar is the chief financial officer of The Mission Society and manages the human resources department and the information technology arena.
View Full BiographyJim serves as the vice president for mission ministries which is the mission-sending arm of The Mission Society. This includes the departments of mobilization and candidacy, field ministry, and member care. He provides strategic oversight of these departments as well as working with missionary leadership and with international partners. He serves on the president’s leadership team and as the staff liaison to the ministries committee of the board of directors. Jim joined The Mission Society staff in September 2006 after serving as a missionary with the organization for 10 years.
