Sue fell in love with the children of the Lawra Orphanage when she first visited there in 2008.The orphanage in Lawra, Ghana is home to 19 AIDS orphans. These children are the most beautiful in the world. Their big eyes and smiles would melt the heart of anyone. They have known abandonment but don’t understand it. The older ones attend primary school while the younger ones who are mobile attend a day care which is also run by the orphanage. What these children have to play with and have to do is very minimal. There is no money for toys and special equipment. The children are cared for and are happy.
Why Ghana? And, more importantly, “Why the Upper West Region?” Because no one else goes there, not even Ghanaians. Because the children at the Lawra Orphanage deserve a chance of health and happiness. They need to know that the Lord has plansfor their future, plans for their good, to give them hope.
Sue’s ministry was born out of a broken life that God has pieced together and has used for His glory. Her ministry is faith-based, and she trusts God that He will supply all her needs through the faithfulness of His people. Please pray and ask the Lord how you can be a part of this exciting ministry.
How can they hear if no one tells them?
Sue wants to be that person who will tell them.
