Intern Training - May
- The Mission Society will conduct training for Mission Interns as well as Wesley Foundation Campus Ministers at The Mission Society’s headquarters in Norcross. Orientation to philosophy, core values of The Mission Society, and training in discipleship and cross-cultural ministry are the key focal points of this training event.

Orientation Training

Orientation Training is an annual training event for cross-cultural workers that takes place in the summer and lasts approximately three weeks. Some of the topics covered in Orientation Training will include relational evangelism, discipleship, spiritual warfare, small group ministry, cross-cultural challenges, culture shock, world religions, and mission and the church. The event is held in Huancayo, Peru. This is an event for the whole family. A separate program for Missionary Kids in training is provided. Former missionaries will teach and provide the children with exciting opportunities for cross-cultural interaction. Guests are welcome to audit this training event.

Intern Training - September

The Mission Society will conduct training for Mission Interns as well as Wesley Foundation Campus Ministers at The Mission Society’s headquarters in Norcross. Orientation to philosophy, core values of The Mission Society, and training in discipleship and cross-cultural ministry are the key focal points of this training event. Application materials due July 15th to be considered for this Intern Training event.

Candidate Assessment & Orientation - September

By invitation of staff, attend Candidate Assessment and Orientation (CAO), which is held several times a year in Atlanta. The candidate is responsible for the costs of CAO, which usually totals $200 plus travel expenses. (CAO not required for interns or campus missionaries.) The four days include interaction with staff, ministry and team-building activities, interviews and a Personality Profile Assessment. Approval for missionary appointment made at the end of the week. Interest Forms must be submitted by August 1st and application materials are due by September 1st in order to be considered for the September CAO.
